Strategy space for local & national Climate Justice groups to plan how we can work together and support each other, building towards COP27 and organising beyond. There will be an open forum for groups to share projects and learnings, space to collaborate on planning across the movements, to meet and share a meal and build our collective power. We welcome anyone from across the social movements to join these sessions.
We will hear from campaigners and activists from across the climate justice movement as they discuss the intersections of labour rights, demands for racial and debt justice and why now more than ever we have to keep organising and pushing for structural change. How can we build a movement of movements that delivers for ordinary people up and down the country and across the world?

Kirstie Paton is an organiser for Don't Pay Lewisham a growing local organisation, inspired by the national Don't Pay Campaign. Kirstie has been active in the labour movement for over 35 years. She was a member of the NEU's National Executive (2016-22). After 27 years in the classroom, she is currently training as a child and adolescent psychotherapist.

She is a national BLM campaigner and the Chair of Merseyside Alliance for Racial Equality CIC (MARE), a non-profit organisation committed to promoting racial equality, across Merseyside, through grassroots community-led education and engagement work. She presents the ‘Why I’m no Longer Talking to Institutionally Racist Police’ podcast.
