How can we understand class composition in Britain today? How do our conditions of work and living determine and affect our strategy for power? Where are the contradictions that can be exploited by workers?
In 2022 Notes from Below published Class Composition in Britain to try and understand our current conjuncture better by starting with the experiences of workers in Britain who suffer its consequences and drive its developments. Since then we have published 9 sectoral and general issues to deepen this inquiry further. Learning from hot-shop fights and subterranean struggles of workers beginning to organise. This workshop will present and review our findings, introduce Notes from Below's approach to class composition analysis, and support participants to apply it to their own workplaces and communities.
Notes from Below is a socialist journal that uses class composition analysis to ground revolutionary politics in the perspective of the working class.
